Description:
JumpCloud, a leading cloud-based directory platform, is looking to hire a Sales Engineer to join its remote-first team in England. This position is ideal for a highly technical individual who enjoys working with customers and sales teams to drive product adoption and success.
The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in the pre-sales process, working closely with prospects, partners, and internal sales teams to demonstrate the technical value of the JumpCloud platform. The role involves identifying client challenges, designing customized solutions, and facilitating smooth product trials to ensure customer satisfaction and conversion.
Serve as a technical trusted advisor to prospects evaluating JumpCloud’s platform.
Deliver tailored product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and functionalities of the platform.
Identify client pain points and align JumpCloud’s solutions to meet their needs effectively.
Support both direct and partner sales teams by answering product-related technical queries.
Build and nurture relationships with strategic partners through enablement sessions and co-selling efforts.
Assist clients during free trial setup and configuration, ensuring they get the most out of the evaluation process.
Assess prospect readiness for formal sales engagement and implementation.
Offer implementation guidance based on best practices to accelerate time to value.
Capture recurring technical issues to recommend product enhancements and automation solutions.
Provide a structured proof-of-concept (POC) framework to streamline the evaluation process.
5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar client-facing technical role.
Strong technical understanding of cloud/SaaS technologies, particularly in identity, access, and device management.
Deep familiarity with Active Directory, network architecture, and common authentication protocols such as SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, and RADIUS.
Experience with tools such as MDM, RMM, MFA technologies (TOTP, WebAuthn).
Ability to simplify complex technical topics for varied audiences, from IT admins to executive stakeholders.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with a consultative approach to customer engagement.
Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
Experience in working with direct and channel sales models.
Hands-on exposure to directory and identity solutions.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder engagements and drive pre-sales success.
Proactive, independent working style suited to remote work environments.
Remote position (based in England); must be authorized to work in the UK.
