Description:
The Local Marketing Company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freelance Sales Executive to join their hybrid-working team in Andover, England. This part-time, freelance role focuses on advertising sales for local magazines with the potential to expand into wider marketing services.
This is a hands-on sales role, requiring excellent communication, a proactive approach, and the ability to independently manage a pipeline of leads and advertising clients. You’ll be the face of the business for many first-time advertisers, offering clear guidance and building relationships that convert into paid bookings.
Advertising Sales for Magazines
Craft and send engaging outreach emails to prospective advertisers
Call and follow up warm leads generated via Meta Ads Manager and other campaigns
Speak directly with potential advertisers, explaining magazine reach, available packages, and guiding them to secure bookings
Handle objections, answer queries, and maintain timely follow-ups
Tracking & Updates
Maintain clear, organized records of all outreach, conversations, and sales progress
Regularly update the team on sales pipeline status and conversions
Proven sales or lead generation experience
Excellent telephone communication skills with the ability to build quick rapport
Strong written communication skills for email engagement
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your pipeline independently
Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and basic CRM tools like HubSpot
Capable of handling objections professionally and closing sales effectively
Experience in media, magazine, or advertising sales
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or other ad platforms
Knowledge of local business communities (Hampshire or similar areas)
