Sales Management Lead

Lely Center Yeovil and Holsworthy, pioneers in automated milking and feeding solutions, are hiring a Group Sales Manager to lead and scale their sales operations across the South and South-West of England. This full-time, permanent role is pivotal to growing market share, increasing efficiency, driving profitability, and cultivating strong client relationships within the agricultural sector.

As part of the senior management team, the Group Sales Manager will oversee both centers, with frequent travel across the region. The role encompasses sales leadership, strategy development, team management, and stakeholder engagement. It is ideally suited for a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of agricultural operations and a passion for innovative technology in farming.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Activities:

• Conduct direct sales visits to existing and potential customers

• Support and mentor Sales Consultants during client interactions

• Gather and act upon customer feedback on sales experiences

Sales Strategy & Development:

• Design annual sales and marketing plans and long-term strategies

• Lead sales forecasting, budgeting, and campaign execution

• Analyze market trends, evaluate product portfolio expansion, and develop competitive proposals

• Oversee budget management and approve exceptional deals

Stakeholder Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders

• Represent the company at networking events and regional engagements

Management & Team Leadership:

• Motivate and guide a high-performing sales team

• Monitor and drive team performance via KPIs and training

• Manage HR functions including recruitment, development, and performance evaluation

• Strategize lead generation and assign key responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills:
