Mackinnon Bruce is recruiting exclusively on behalf of a longstanding client, a manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive range of laboratory equipment, consumables, and reagents catering to the Biotech, Pharma, Academia, CRO, and CDMO markets. This is a distinctive opportunity to join a high-performing EMEA commercial team as a Sales Manager, responsible for driving business development and managing the complete product portfolio sales into CROs, CDMOs, and Biotech companies across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow revenue by cultivating existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities using the full range of product offerings.
Meet and exceed sales targets by developing a robust client base while ensuring strong customer retention.
Increase territory revenue via direct sales and strategic management of long-term distribution partners.
Execute business development initiatives with a sound understanding of regulatory environments to foster quality-compliant, profitable, and differentiated partnerships.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including customer support, field applications, engineering, and supply chain to deliver exceptional service.
Monitor market trends and provide valuable feedback to internal teams, ensuring products remain aligned with dynamic industry needs and suggesting innovations where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements:
At least 3 years of relevant sales experience in laboratory equipment, consumables, or reagent sales.
Strong scientific or technical academic background (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Engineering, or PhD preferred).
Preferably knowledgeable in Cell and Gene Therapy, Bioprocessing, or Molecular Biology.
Demonstrated success in selling complex and differentiated technology platforms to biotech markets.
Proficient in engaging with a diverse client base comprising scientists, engineers, and technical experts.
Capable of implementing strategic plans and managing execution at key accounts over short, mid, and long-term horizons.
Skilled in handling multiple client projects simultaneously.
Financial and commercial insight is a plus.
Analytical capability to assess and communicate market and regional trends effectively.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
