Sanderson King is partnering with an exciting new hotel in London to recruit a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join during the pre-opening phase. This pivotal role offers a rare opportunity to be the founding sales hire for a brand-new property and to play a leading role in establishing its commercial footprint from day one.
As Sales Manager, you will bring your proven expertise in hotel openings, combining hands-on sales leadership with strategic insight to drive revenue and build demand across a diverse portfolio of channels. Your deep understanding of the hospitality sales ecosystem will empower you to develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with both marketing and revenue goals.
Lead all sales activities during the hotel’s pre-opening phase and beyond, acting as the primary sales authority.
Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple segments including corporate clients, leisure travelers, groups, and agency partners.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that supports revenue targets and complements marketing initiatives.
Drive awareness and demand through diverse channels such as Travel Management Companies (TMCs), consortia, direct bookings, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), website traffic, and local partnerships.
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and local networking forums to raise the property’s profile.
Collaborate closely with the General Manager and the central corporate team to ensure alignment and operational readiness.
Demonstrated experience successfully opening a hotel, with a clear understanding of the unique challenges and pace of a pre-opening environment.
Strong knowledge of the full spectrum of sales channels, including B2B and B2C avenues.
Self-motivated, confident working independently, yet able to collaborate effectively within a growing team.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
