Description:
SAS, through its subsidiary JMP, is seeking a JMP Manager, Sales to lead and manage its sales team in Marlow, England. JMP is a world-renowned provider of statistical discovery software, empowering scientists, engineers, and innovators for over 35 years to drive advancements in fields such as drug development, product design, and environmental restoration.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, managing renewals, supervising account executives, and providing strategic direction. Reporting directly to the VP of JMP EMEA Sales & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue goals and ensuring the continued success of JMP’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive achievement of sales targets, including new software licenses and renewals.
Provide strong leadership, setting and reviewing performance and sales goals for the team.
Supervise account executives and oversee daily sales operations.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts via Salesforce and leadership meetings.
Develop and execute revenue growth and employee development plans.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Inside Sales, Systems Engineering, and Business Operations.
Oversee contract negotiations and proposals with legal and business operations support.
Mentor account executives through pre- and post-sales coaching, joint sales calls, and training.
Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of sales staff.
Lead complex sales opportunities requiring coordination with global counterparts.
Ensure adherence to JMP’s sales methodologies and strategic frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
5–10 years of software sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
Fluency in English; an additional EU language is desirable.
Legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of strategic sales techniques in the software industry.
Knowledge of at least three industries and/or market segments.
Familiarity with corporate software acquisition cycles.
