As Salesforce Technical Lead, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of Salesforce solutions across the organisation. You will manage a team of Salesforce professionals, ensuring the platform is optimised to support business goals, client engagement, and operational efficiency.
This role blends technical leadership, solution architecture, and people management, requiring a strong mix of hands-on expertise, strategic thinking, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions.
- Oversee platform configuration, custom development, integrations, and automation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and governance frameworks.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Salesforce developers and analysts
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Support career progression and skills development aligned to business needs.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of Salesforce initiatives, from requirements to deployment.
- Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Partner with business units to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing updates and insights.
- Drive platform optimisation, user adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Maintain documentation and oversee release management processes.
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience in a Salesforce development environment
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Scratch Orgs, and Git-based version control
- Deep understanding of declarative tools: Flows, validation rules, dynamic forms, record types
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud and Financial Services Cloud
- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, data encryption, and security review processes
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience in Agile delivery environments
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required); Platform Developer II or specialist certifications (desirable)
- Background in financial services or regulated industries is a plus
