Security Architect

The Security Architect will play a pivotal role in embedding security architecture principles across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid platforms. You will provide expert guidance to technical teams, influence decisions to safeguard data, systems, and infrastructure, and champion Secure by Design principles. The role balances strong security controls with enabling business outcomes, ensuring compliance with recognised standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, Secure by Design, and GovAssure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align security architecture with government and industry standards, legal frameworks, and best practices

• Embed Secure by Design principles across digital and technology teams

• Manage compliance roadmap, aligning activities with strategy and audit recommendations

• Stay up-to-date with legislation, frameworks, and emerging security initiatives

• Recommend proportionate security controls and solutions that support business objectives

• Provide expert guidance across system and infrastructure design, implementation, and operation

• Advise stakeholders on risks, solutions, and approaches, tailoring communication as needed

• Support compliance processes, including evidence gathering and submissions to external bodies

• Contribute to incident response where architectural issues are identified

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance outcomes

Candidate Profile:

• Experienced in cybersecurity architecture and governance

• Knowledgeable about cloud, hybrid environments, and secure system design

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
