Description:

A global leader in safety and security solutions is seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join their growing UK-based team. This role is ideal for an experienced Security Systems Engineer who excels in the configuration, testing, and commissioning of large-scale enterprise-level systems. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on technically complex projects and collaborate with global engineering teams, ensuring high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of access control, CCTV, and video management systems, with proven experience in on-site configuration, server deployment, and project commissioning. You will play a vital role in ensuring systems are installed, tested, and handed over seamlessly while maintaining strong communication with clients and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, commission, test, and troubleshoot security system projects across assigned regions.

  • Manage server deployments, software configurations, and all programming activities.

  • Inspect cable installations, system terminations, device installations, and head-end build-outs to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers and internal staff regarding technical tasks and follow-up actions.

  • Support the technical design and assurance of new, complex security projects.

  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with suppliers and partners.

  • Ensure all delivered projects undergo thorough technical reviews and commissioning validation.

  • Provide service and maintenance support to clients, including troubleshooting, programming, and remote technical assistance.

  • Offer engineering support for both small-scale and major project works.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all work undertaken.

  • Liaise with clients’ IT, Security, Health & Safety, and Facilities teams to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

  • Participate in field visits to meet clients, oversee installations, and build long-term relationships.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commissioning and configuring access control and enterprise-level CCTV/video management systems.

  • Strong technical background in security system integration and networked solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be currently residing in the UK.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the London and South East areas.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality technical results.
