Description:

Westbourne School is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing high-quality educational support to service users, promoting their physical, educational, and moral development in line with the school’s policies. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with class teachers to ensure a stimulating and safe learning environment for students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist class teachers in delivering a high-quality education to all students.
  • Support individual or group learning to enable curriculum access.
  • Organize classroom resources, student groupings, and displays.
  • Prepare and implement individual student plans such as BSP, IEP, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure student safety during both on-site and off-site activities.
  • Maintain and report on educational equipment and resources.
  • Collaborate with the multi-professional team to ensure effective support for students.
