Description:
Rocket Software is seeking a highly experienced Senior Account Executive to join their enterprise sales team in the United Kingdom. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who has a proven track record of selling enterprise software solutions to Global 1000 clients and is passionate about driving substantial business growth through strategic sales initiatives. As a Senior Account Executive, you will focus on selling a comprehensive portfolio of infrastructure and application software designed to optimize and modernize enterprise systems.
This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while maintaining an active presence in the field, meeting clients, attending tradeshows, and fostering long-term business relationships. The successful candidate will be a hunter who thrives in developing new opportunities, influencing senior executives, and navigating complex enterprise environments.
Proactively prospect, engage, and sell infrastructure and application software solutions to Global 1000 clients.
Lead sales campaigns and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, marketing, and lab groups.
Work closely with Field Marketing to identify prospects, develop strategies, and coordinate events to generate business leads.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering reference-ability.
Develop and execute territory plans to achieve revenue targets and strategic objectives.
Actively manage sales pipeline using Salesforce and provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close large, complex deals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, aligning Rocket Software's capabilities with their business priorities.
Research and understand client industries, challenges, and strategic goals to create tailored solutions.
Advocate for customer needs during the sales cycle and support issue resolution in collaboration with delivery teams.
Required:
8+ years of proven experience in enterprise software sales, specifically targeting Global 1000 clients.
Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate complex organizations.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience in developing and executing large-scale sales strategies and achieving quotas in excess of 2M.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for client meetings, tradeshows, and business events.
Preferred:
History of consistent top performance with large subscription and perpetual license sales.
Existing network of executive relationships within the designated region.
Experience working with multi-year enterprise contracts and complex licensing structures.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required.
