Description:
dunnhumby, a global leader in Customer Data Science and partner of Tesco Media, is seeking a Senior Agency Partner for a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for a strategic, commercially driven media professional who is passionate about redefining retail media in collaboration with the UK’s largest grocery retailer.
You will join the Agency Development Team, helping shape and execute a comprehensive agency partnership strategy aligned with Tesco Media’s broader commercial vision. The role involves working directly with media agencies and brand clients to offer strategic solutions that leverage the power of Tesco’s first-party customer data.
As a senior stakeholder, you will focus on growing revenue, identifying new business opportunities, fostering innovation in digital advertising products, and increasing market visibility by representing Tesco Media in industry settings. Your ability to bridge the needs of agencies with the capabilities of internal teams will be central to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a forward-looking agency partnership strategy
Engage media agencies as a consultative, solutions-focused advisor
Drive performance and revenue growth through pipeline management and strategic planning
Represent Tesco Media in key external events and agency meetings
Collaborate with internal teams (product, insights, media) to support innovation and execution
Develop joint business plans and trade agreements with key agency partners
Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture
Key Requirements:
Proven track record in sales and agency management within media or retail media
Understanding of the agency ecosystem, including structures, commercial terms, and client servicing
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with internal and external stakeholders
Passionate about digital innovation, data science, and customer-centric advertising solutions
Strategic thinker with executional excellence and a growth mindset
Familiarity with Tesco or retail-led media platforms is an advantage
