Description:
Netcompany is looking for a Senior Agile Delivery Manager to drive forward our delivery capability and deliver the optimum solutions to the clients. As a Delivery Manager, in our Application Development unit, you will be working on a variety of projects. Based in London or Leeds, this is a great opportunity to join one of the most exciting, innovative, prestigious and forward-thinking technology-enabled organisations in the UK.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex digital services, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved within scope, budget, timescales and quality expectations.
Provide hands-on agile delivery leadership across one or more multidisciplinary teams, adapting ways of working to the delivery context and undertaking Scrum Master responsibilities where appropriate, including facilitating planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement.
Create the conditions for effective agile delivery by removing blockers, managing dependencies and helping teams continuously improve how they work.
Work closely with Product Managers to translate product strategy and priorities into achievable delivery plans, balancing user needs, business objectives and technical constraints.
Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising delivery, product, engineering, architecture, quality assurance, business analysis, data and user-centred design professionals, building team capability and supporting individuals to grow and perform effectively.
Ensure user-centred design disciplines, including user research, service design, interaction design and content design, are integrated throughout delivery.
Support services through the GDS delivery lifecycle, from Discovery and Alpha through Beta and Live, ensuring alignment with the Government Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice.
Plan and coordinate GDS service assessments, including assessment readiness, evidence gathering, team preparation and the management of recommendations arising from assessments.
Maintain effective delivery controls, including delivery plans, RAID logs, dependency management, resource forecasting, governance reporting and stakeholder communications.
Take a hands-on approach to Jira and Confluence, ensuring backlogs, workflows, dashboards, documentation, decisions and delivery reporting are accurate and actively maintained.
Manage delivery across complex technology environments involving system integration, legacy platforms, cloud services and third-party suppliers.
Provide clear and transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, finances and outcomes to senior management, clients and governance forums.
Build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and team members, constructively challenging decisions where required to protect delivery outcomes.
Contribute to the wider delivery management community through knowledge sharing, coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
