Senior Architect

Description:

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Architect to join their expanding architecture team within the Buildings and Cities Unit, operating across the UK and internationally. The role offers the opportunity to work across all RIBA stages on diverse, large-scale projects, covering sectors such as defence, transport, energy, and the built environment. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and will play an integral role in the long-term development of architectural solutions and leadership of project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage architectural projects from conception to completion.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment with client requirements.

• Deliver design and technical excellence across multiple sectors and building typologies.

• Assist with the growth and mentorship of junior team members.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK building legislation and best practices.

• Actively contribute to the team’s design quality, project management, and delivery.

Requirements:

• ARB-registered Architect (Post-Part 3 qualification).

• Demonstrable post-qualification experience with project delivery in the UK.

• Familiarity with Revit and BIM is essential.

• Prior experience in Defence or Transport building projects is advantageous.

• Strong leadership, people management, and project-running skills.

• In-depth technical knowledge of architecture and the built environment.

• Must have the right to work in the UK without the need for Skilled Worker sponsorship.
