Description:
Social Care Locums is seeking a Senior ASB Housing Officer to lead efforts in preventing and intervening in anti-social behaviour (ASB) and domestic abuse cases. Based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, the role involves working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council’s mission of fostering safe communities.
The officer will be responsible for swiftly addressing ASB and Domestic Abuse cases, ensuring proper risk assessments are conducted, and residents—especially vulnerable ones—are effectively supported. Responsibilities include creating individualized safety plans for victims, ensuring referrals to the appropriate agencies, and implementing safety measures.
The role also involves representing the organization in court proceedings, managing tenancy breaches, preparing legal notices, and conducting detailed interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators. The officer will also participate in strategy meetings and collaborate with various agencies to deliver sustainable resolutions and safeguard tenancies.
Candidates must be capable of producing detailed reports, managing complex and high-risk cases, and providing both short- and long-term case management services. A professional approach to safeguarding, and a clear understanding of current legislation and good practices concerning ASB management is essential.
Key Requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Demonstrable experience working in the public sector with tenancy-related breaches
Strong knowledge of ASB legislation and procedures
Excellent case management and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to manage high-risk and vulnerable resident cases with empathy and effectiveness
