Di:ga communications is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate / Media Manager to join their News Team, working on high-impact media relations that shape narratives around some of the world’s most pressing global issues. di:ga is a mission-driven, employee-owned communications agency specializing in strategic communications, media relations, digital content, writing, and public affairs for global nonprofits. The firm partners with prominent organizations like Amnesty International, Chatham House, Greenpeace, Oxfam, and UNICEF.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with globally recognized NGOs and make a meaningful impact on issues including human rights, climate change, global development, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement media relations strategies tailored to global nonprofits and causes.

  • Identify compelling stories and pitch them effectively to UK and international media outlets.

  • Maintain and grow journalist contacts while navigating a rapidly evolving media landscape.

  • Collaborate with clients to create impactful communications content across various platforms.

  • Stay informed on complex global issues, distilling them into powerful, media-friendly narratives.

  • Work collaboratively with other teams (Digital, Advocacy & Campaigns) to develop integrated communication strategies.

  • Track, analyze, and report on communications outcomes and media impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a press office, media agency, or strategic communications role—preferably working with nonprofit clients.

  • Proven success in building and executing communication plans across different sectors.

  • Established relationships with media professionals and sound knowledge of UK and international outlets.

  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex policy into engaging content.

  • Tenacious and confident in pitching stories, with creativity and persistence in securing media coverage.

  • Deep understanding of the interaction between traditional and digital media platforms.

  • Experience in global issue domains such as human rights, development, climate, AI, and data rights.

  • Strong strategic thinking, excellent project management, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid setup.

Working Environment:

  • Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week in the London office (typically Mondays and Wednesdays).
