Description:

Lewis Silkin is seeking a Senior Associate to join its high-ranking Corporate team, known for its outstanding performance in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, private equity, and general advisory work. The firm serves an impressive roster of clients—from start-ups to multinational corporations—across sectors like media, technology, financial services, and advertising.

As a Senior Associate, you will be deeply involved in both transactional and advisory work, collaborating with a nationally integrated team of over 40 professionals across the firm’s UK offices. You’ll work on high-impact matters including share and asset purchases, venture capital funding rounds, joint ventures, IPOs, and partnership structuring. You will also provide ongoing corporate advice related to statutory compliance, restructuring, and commercial tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, due diligence, and disclosure processes

• Advise on private equity investments, shareholder agreements, reorganisations, and share buy-backs

• Provide general corporate legal guidance to UK and international clients

• Participate in business development, client meetings, and international project coordination

• Mentor junior lawyers and collaborate across the firm’s multi-office Corporate group

Requirements:

• 5–8 years PQE in a corporate legal role

• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills

• Demonstrated expertise in M&A, private equity, and general corporate advisory work

• Experience with international transactions and managing overseas counsel

• A commercial, proactive mindset with the ability to lead on key workstreams and build lasting client relationships

• Commitment to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development
