Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Scottish Water is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead and evolve its cloud infrastructure platform as part of the organization's digital transformation journey. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize Azure infrastructure that aligns with current and future business needs

• Build and configure Azure landing zones with secure networking and robust architecture

• Collaborate across teams to ensure cloud solutions are integrated, scalable, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals

• Apply the Azure Well-Architected Framework to ensure cost-efficiency, security, and high performance

• Drive improvements across the Azure environment and promote best practices

• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge to raise cloud maturity levels

Technical Requirements:
Hands-on expertise in the following areas is essential:

• Azure services: Virtual Machines, API Management, Azure Storage (Blob, File, Data Lake), Azure SQL Databases, AKS, Azure Functions, Networking (NSGs, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall)

• Data & Integration services: Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Power Platform

• Infrastructure as Code: Preferably using Bicep and scripting for cloud provisioning

• CI/CD pipelines: Strong experience with Azure DevOps and Git

Salary Details:

• Starting salary: £41,000 to £51,970, based on experience

• Grade 7 role with performance-based pay progression
