Senior Backend Developer

An innovative and fast-growing entertainment streaming service based in London is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and AI integration. This is a fully onsite position located in Kings Cross, offering the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge streaming and AI technologies in a dynamic, startup-style environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable, AI-driven backend services that power a suite of applications including web, mobile, and TV platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance performance, functionality, and user experience across all services. A strong foundation in NestJS, AWS, and API development is essential, along with a passion for AI solutions and media tech.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend infrastructure using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.

• Develop and integrate AI-powered features and services across streaming platforms.

• Work extensively with AWS for cloud deployment and infrastructure management.

• Create, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs for scalable product integration.

• Implement and support machine learning models in production.

• Collaborate in an Agile environment with a focus on rapid iteration and innovation.

• Drive architectural decisions for backend scalability and performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in software development.

• Advanced proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and AI/ML integration.

• Strong experience with AWS services and scalable backend architectures.

• Proven experience in building and managing RESTful APIs.

• Background in Agile development and ability to thrive in a startup environment.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice to Have:
