COWI is seeking a highly experienced Senior BIM Manager – ISO 19650 & Information Management Specialist to join their growing Digital Delivery team. This pivotal role is suited for a professional who excels in leading complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects while implementing and managing BIM and Information Management (IM) frameworks in compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
As part of COWI’s mission to shape a sustainable and livable world, this position plays a crucial role in advancing digital delivery and information management practices across nationally significant infrastructure programs.
Implement ISO 19650 principles across all infrastructure projects, embedding information management from procurement through delivery.
Collaborate with the Discipline Management Team to enhance COWI’s internal IM functions, governance processes, compliance frameworks, and best-practice guidance.
Develop BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) according to client Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and ensure alignment with ISO 19650 frameworks.
Lead the setup and management of Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as ProjectWise and ACC, ensuring all templates and workflows are optimized.
Conduct internal audits of ISO 19650 projects ahead of annual accreditation.
Support bid teams during tender responses, providing BIM/IM input on risks, capabilities, and mobilization strategies.
Create and maintain the federated project information model (PIM), ensuring quality assurance of all BIM deliverables.
Organize and lead coordination meetings with multidisciplinary stakeholders, ensuring that all digital and delivery objectives are achieved.
Evaluate and recommend new BIM technologies and tools to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and collaboration.
Train and mentor Digital Delivery team members, promoting best practices in BIM and information management across projects.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in BIM Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Over 10 years of proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects as a BIM Manager/Lead.
Expertise with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks, Solibri, or Bentley iTwin.
Solid understanding of modeling tools like Revit, Tekla, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenBuildings Designer, and their interoperability.
Certification in ISO 19650 (preferred).
Strong background in Information Management (IMI) under the UK BIM Framework.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders at all levels.
