Description:
Somerset Council is seeking a Senior Centre Manager to take on a leadership role at Kilve Court Residential Centre, located on the edge of the scenic Quantocks National Landscape. This permanent, full-time position requires 37 hours per week, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends during peak periods, ensuring the Centre continues to thrive as an inspirational destination for schools, youth groups, corporate visitors, and university/college programs.
The Senior Centre Manager will be responsible for driving the success and long-term sustainability of Kilve Court by overseeing the planning and delivery of high-quality outdoor educational programs, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, and providing inspirational leadership across multiple teams, including activity, maintenance, and hospitality staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day operations of Kilve Court Residential Centre.
Drive the planning, organization, and delivery of outdoor educational courses for school residential clients.
Ensure health, safety, and compliance across all activities, facilities, and grounds.
Provide strong, motivational leadership to a team of 30+ staff across multiple functions.
Develop the Centre’s business model to ensure long-term financial viability and growth.
Build strong partnerships with schools, universities, colleges, and corporate groups.
Promote inclusivity, diversity, and positive engagement across all programs.
