Description:
Birmingham City University is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Compliance Officer to join its Compliance Team. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based in Birmingham, offering a stimulating opportunity to work across disciplines while contributing to the administration and compliance of externally funded projects.

The Senior Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that the university's funded projects remain aligned with compliance standards, funding guidelines, and reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert support in the project management and compliance of externally funded initiatives.
Maintain adherence to funding rules and regulations, including requirements from EU, UKRI, and other government bodies.
Generate, maintain, and present Management Information Systems (MIS) and compliance reports for internal and external use.
Collaborate closely with project teams and faculties to ensure coordinated delivery of project objectives.
Oversee financial and budgetary management, ensuring appropriate tracking, control, and reporting.
Act as a key point of contact for project assurance and reporting standards within the university.
Ensure clarity and consistency in all communications and reports by presenting complex data in an understandable manner.
Candidate Profile:
A degree in a relevant field is essential.
Strong experience in project administration, particularly with funded projects.
Proven capability in stakeholder management and inter-departmental coordination.
Skilled in budget management and financial oversight within project environments.
Effective communicator with report-writing skills for diverse audiences.
Desirable: PRINCE2 or other project management qualification, and experience in the Higher Education sector.
