Description:
ICF seeks a motivated Senior Consultant / Managing Consultant to join its growing environmental policy practice. This role involves working with UK Government departments (e.g., Defra), European Commission agencies, NGOs, and industry associations to address critical environmental challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct policy and economic research and analysis.
- Prepare detailed descriptive and analytical reports.
- Manage projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery.
- Contribute to compelling proposals to secure new work.
- Build partnerships and pursue business development opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline.
- Exceptional qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and advanced computer skills.
- Excellent writing and communication abilities in English (fluency in additional European languages is an advantage).
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Notable Projects:
- Supporting Defra with research and evaluation for the Environmental Land Management scheme.
- Advising on biodiversity metrics for the new nature strategy under the UK Environment Bill.
- Evaluating fisheries control and enforcement in the UK.
- Researching the economic benefits of marine protected areas for the European Commission’s blue growth policies.
