We're working with a global advanced manufacturing business growing their cyber-engineering capability in Belfast.

This is a role for a hands-on security engineer who wants to stay close to the tools, own real security platforms, and work across a broad hybrid estate.

It is not a SOC role.
It is not a governance-heavy role.
It is not a job where you spend your week reacting to tickets.

This is for someone who wants to build, configure, improve and own security controls across a live global environment.

Why this role is interesting

The security team is small, super senior and highly technical.

A lot of the core tooling is in place, but not fully optimised. There are controls only partly implemented, features not switched on, and technical debt that needs proper engineering ownership.

That means this is not a maintenance hire. It is a chance to come in and make a visible impact.

You'll work directly with senior cyber leadership and have the chance to shape how security engineering is done across the business.

What you'll be doing

• • Owning and improving security platforms across endpoint, identity, SIEM, data protection and cloud
  • Identifying control gaps and working through the right fix
  • Running PoCs and helping shape tooling decisions
  • Deploying and configuring platforms rather than just using them
  • Enabling advanced features that are currently underused
  • Improving integrations, tuning, coverage and documentation
  • Supporting both enterprise IT and manufacturing environments
  • Working closely with senior cyber engineers and architects in the UK and US
     
• What they're looking for

  You'll likely already be working as a Senior Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer, or similar.

  You should bring strong hands-on experience across several of the following:

  • • Endpoint security and endpoint management
    • Identity and access security
    • SIEM configuration, integration and tuning
    • Data protection / DLP

    • Security tooling deployment and optimisation
    • Scripting / automation
    • Working in lean teams with real ownership
