Senior Data Engineer

 

Description:


We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us on a new client engagement, helping them advance and drive forward their capabilities across automation, decision making and personalisation and enabling our data strategy and CRM to come to life.
 

  • The initial project is focussed on retail, entertainment and hospitality for a topflight sports team with a global brand and fan Optimise CRM Data Processes: Streamline the CRM data pipelines to ensure efficient and rapid handling of data requests, enabling quicker marketing responses and decision-making.
  • Automate and Enhance Operational Efficiency: Implement automation in CRM data tasks to minimise manual workload and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Collaborative support: work closely with clients’ existing data engineering team to share best practices, facilitate knowledge transfer, and bolster their capabilities.
  • Data Compliance and Security: ensuring that all data processes adhere to GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. We will implement robust data security measures to safeguard fan database.
     

You’ll spend your day delivering and developing scalable technical solutions, understanding client’s requirements and the data environment, identifying how to exploit this for business growth and providing data engineering support to their CRM ambitions.

This role sits within our Data Driven Performance Practice working with both our Data and Campaign Management teams, providing our clients with end-to-end capabilities across customer experience, data activation, pricing, performance management and tech strategy while working with data analysts, data strategists and campaign managers.

What we’re looking for
 

  • Comfortable and confident with a range of languages, tools, services and applications, preferably:
  • Cloud technologies, Google Cloud Platform a must
  • CRM Campaign management tools; Braze preferred
  • Understanding of dashboarding & data visualisation tools including Tableau, Google Data Studio, PowerBI.
  • Cloud data engineering accreditations & certifications would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience in a client facing role tackling problems & finding technical data solutions, contributing to development and delivery of data products.
  • Past experience within marketing and customer management applications desirable.

  • Highly organised, independent and a self-starter; someone who can consistently delivery high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
  • You will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate complex problems and solutions to all levels of stakeholders.
