Senior Data Engineer

Description:

Are you passionate about building scalable data systems that make a real difference in healthcare? This is your chance to join a pioneering health-tech company revolutionizing communication within healthcare teams through an innovative SaaS platform. You’ll work in a hybrid environment, blending vibrant office collaboration in Shoreditch with flexible remote working, supported by a range of excellent perks like private health insurance options, wellness programs, free nutritious office meals, and a £600 annual development budget.

As the first Senior Data Engineer hire, you’ll be a key driver of the company’s data engineering capabilities. This hands-on role involves gathering requirements, collaborating closely with product, BI, data science, and analytics teams, and building robust, scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll tackle complex challenges such as transferring large data sets from SQL Server to Snowflake, integrating data across Azure Data Factory, Python, and Snowflake, and supporting machine learning workflows by building optimized pipelines for production.

You’ll bring advanced skills in Python and SQL, proven experience with ETL processes, and deep familiarity with Azure cloud environments, including setting up and managing production-grade systems. Bonus points if you have experience building data production environments from scratch or handling SQL to Snowflake integrations. Experience working with sensitive healthcare data and managing related security challenges will be highly valued.

If you’re motivated by impactful work improving healthcare delivery, adaptable in a dynamic environment, and ready to own critical data engineering projects, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow alongside a fast-scaling company expanding into hospitals, pharmacies, and new healthcare sectors.
