Senior Data Engineer

Data Revolution is partnering with a global leader in specialty insurance and warranty solutions that is undergoing a large-scale global data transformation journey. This is a high-impact and visible opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join their expanding London-based team and take ownership of mission-critical projects. Reporting directly to the VP of Data (US-based), the role offers exposure to international stakeholders across the US and Europe while contributing to the creation of a unified data and analytics landscape.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in integrating the European ledger into the organization’s Snowflake data warehouse, enabling a consolidated view of business performance across global regions. You will design, develop, and optimize robust ETL pipelines, manage complex data ingestion processes, and improve overall data structure and quality. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale the European data engineering function from the ground up, working with advanced data technologies in a collaborative, fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and own high-performance ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks, and DBT.

• Ingest and process complex data sets from Europe’s specialty insurance and warranty businesses.

• Integrate and optimize Snowflake data warehouse, automating financial and operational reporting.

• Contribute to global data product strategies, improving data governance, quality, and consistency.

• Collaborate with business, finance, and technology teams across Europe, US, and India.

• Define, document, and implement technical architectures and cloud-based solutions.

Key Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.

• Strong technical expertise in Python, Databricks, and SQL.

• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT data transformation best practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, high-visibility projects.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):

• Experience with DBT.

• Background in insurance, financial services, or data/reporting-intensive environments.
