Senior Data Engineer

Description:

The Data Lead will oversee a global team of data engineers and developers responsible for building and maintaining mission-critical datasets and infrastructure for global trading strategies. The role involves designing high-performance systems, scalable data pipelines, and APIs that provide fast, reliable access to data for traders, researchers, and engineers across asset classes. The environment is highly technical, collaborative, and performance-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build batch and real-time streaming pipelines for large-scale time-series data

• Develop APIs and data-access frameworks enabling low-latency delivery of historical and live data

• Work cross-functionally with trading, engineering, and research teams

• Own data products end-to-end, ensuring reliability and performance

• Maintain production systems with occasional on-call responsibility

• Optimize workflows across the data lifecycle

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in software or data engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python or Java

• Experience with Linux, concurrent systems, high-throughput/low-latency data processing

• Knowledge of:

  • Kafka (streaming)

  • Airflow / Dagster (orchestration)

  • Delta Lake / Apache Iceberg (data lakes)

  • Relational databases

  • API development

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics—or equivalent experience
