Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Digital Consultant to join their dynamic and growing Information Management team. This role involves implementing the latest digital design delivery methods and improved ways of working across major infrastructure projects. The team focuses on developing innovative digital solutions to drive efficiency improvements during the delivery of built environment projects, particularly in transportation systems such as railways, roads, bridges, and tunnels.
This position offers the opportunity to apply your development skills to create real-world solutions and help clients achieve their objectives towards Net Zero. You'll lead a team of digital consultants, working on projects that support safety, performance, and sustainability within the civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on development of high-quality software using agile methodologies.
- Architecting web applications, reviewing design, and coding standards.
- Leading a team of developers and providing mentorship.
- Structuring and analyzing asset data to identify patterns and trends.
- Keeping up-to-date with technology and best practices in web development.
- Researching emerging technologies for infrastructure data capture and analysis.
- Communicating findings to both technical and non-technical teams.
Essential Skills:
- Languages & Tools: Python, React JS, TypeScript, JavaScript, MS SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB), Git, Azure services.
- Methodology: Agile delivery, API design for streaming data.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership and team management experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience or understanding of the architectural, engineering, and construction industry.
- Knowledge of NET/C#, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.
