Senior Drupal Developer

Cloud and Things is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drupal Developer to support its public sector clients by leveraging Drupal as an enterprise platform solution. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to work on transformative and impactful projects within the government IT environment. The selected candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal websites while ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, usability, and compliance with New York State standards.

Key responsibilities include developing custom Drupal themes, modules, and features while working extensively with PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Twig templating. The Senior Drupal Developer will also be responsible for implementing responsive design, ensuring cross-browser/platform compatibility, and optimizing website performance. Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Drupal solutions, such as Acquia and SOLR/SearchStax, is required. Additionally, the role involves extending and customizing Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels, along with managing version control using Git.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate releases, provide ongoing technical support, and handle emergency upgrades when necessary. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of professional programming experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on Drupal development, including custom modules, themes, and features.

• 5+ years of programming with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• 5+ years of working with HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.

• 5+ years of responsive design and cross-browser/platform testing experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Acquia and SOLR/SearchStax.

• 4+ years of experience extending contributed/custom Drupal modules (CTools, Views, Panels, etc.).

• 4+ years of experience with Git for version control.
