A leading cleantech company developing innovative chemical recycling technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation and Automation Engineer to advance their revolutionary green-tech solutions. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability through cutting-edge automation and control systems design for the green reproduction of plastics.

In this hands-on position, you’ll design, develop, and commission sophisticated control systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement industry-leading engineering solutions. You will also travel across the UK and EU for on-site activities and commissioning support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems for chemical recycling technologies.

  • Develop and program PLC-based control systems (Siemens or Omron preferred).

  • Design and commission control systems, instrumentation, and integration across operations.

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization post-commissioning.

  • Travel to sites across the UK and EU for system installations and fieldwork.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in control systems engineering.

  • Proficient in PLC programming, industrial automation, and instrumentation.

  • Strong experience with SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking.

  • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and functional safety standards.

  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

  • Demonstrated capability in control system design, integration, and on-site commissioning.
