Senior Electronics Engineer

We’re working with an innovative and growing technology company based in Cwmbran, currently looking to bring on a talented Electronics & Firmware Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge embedded systems.

This is a hands-on role combining electronics design and low-level firmware development, ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle — from concept through to production.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts and schematics (cadence for embedded systems
• Work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate designs
• Develop and maintain firmware, with exposure to low-level systems
• Debug, test, and optimise both hardware and firmware performance
• Support prototyping, validation, and production activities

💡 Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in electronics design (PCB design, schematics, component selection)
• Solid understanding of embedded firmware development
• Experience with Linux-based systems (e.g. kernel development, Yocto) is highly desirable
• Familiarity with debugging tools and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
