ivee, a dedicated platform for professionals re-entering or pivoting their careers, is partnering with a fast-growing, VC-backed food-tech scaleup to recruit a visionary Chief Financial Officer. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial strategy and operations of an innovative business poised for international expansion, as the founding CFO transitions away from day-to-day responsibilities.

Working alongside former executives from Deliveroo, BrewDog, and Soho House, you will play a central role in shaping the company’s financial future and driving its growth trajectory across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Finance:
  Develop and oversee the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategies, ensuring alignment with overall growth and profitability goals.

• Leadership:
  Lead and mentor the finance team (currently comprising a Group Financial Controller and Finance Assistant), fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation and delivery.

• Board & Investor Reporting:
  Manage timely and accurate financial reporting for the Board, investors, and lending institutions, ensuring transparency and accountability.

• Financial Operations:
  Supervise accounting, payroll, cash flow, partner payments, and all accounts payable/receivable processes to maintain operational excellence.

• Risk & Compliance:
  Ensure full compliance with legal, tax, and financial regulations; lead audits; and oversee corporate governance including Cap Table, share schemes, and Companies House filings.

• Capital & Treasury Management:
  Develop funding strategies, manage working capital, and optimize financial resources to support expansion initiatives.

• Commercial & Strategic Insight:
  Provide data-driven financial insights that empower cross-functional teams and guide strategic decision-making across departments.

• External Stakeholder Relations:
  Act as the primary finance contact for external entities including banks, insurers, HMRC, auditors, and legal advisors.

• Growth Enablement:
  Play a crucial role in supporting international market entry and franchise model scaling, helping the company extend its innovative business model globally.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a commercially-minded, hands-on finance leader with a proven record of success in high-growth and fast-paced environments. You should have strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a strategic yet operational mindset.

Requirements:

• Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years in a senior finance leadership role

• Prior experience in start-up or scale-up environments

• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analytics, and performance management

• Strong grasp of international financial operations and compliance (preferred)

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

• Passion for innovation, sustainability, and the evolving food-tech industry
