Senior Golang Developer

Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. The role is suited to a skilled Golang Developer who will play a central role in building the foundation of our backend system. You will also take ownership of the core API, powering our ever-evolving e-commerce platform (a platform generating several millions in sales per week)!

This is an influential role in our Tech team and we’re looking for an experienced individual who relishes the chance to challenge themselves and progressive tech environment. There will be plenty of progression on offer as we look to double the size of the team.

What you’ll do…

• Play a central role in building the foundation of the Ennismore backend system
• Act as the owner of the API which powers our e-commerce system (and generates sales of more than 1M GBP per week)
• Write services using Golang, using gRPC for inter-service communication, Temporal for async communication, Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage applications, Argo and GitHub Action to run the CI/ CD pipeline and AWS as cloud provider
• Work in an agile environment (comfortable estimating tickets and working in sprints)

What we’re looking for…

• The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and have a breadth professional experience using Golang (amongst others).
• DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions)
• AWS
• Exposure to gRPC framework or similar
• Microservice architecture
