✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, deliver, and manage a diverse portfolio of audits across various council service areas.
- Supervise, guide, and support junior audit staff to ensure high-performance delivery.
- Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across departments and partner organizations.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive technological innovation within audit processes.
- Produce authoritative, high-quality audit reports and confidently present complex findings.

🎯 What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience delivering comprehensive audit portfolios in client-facing roles.
- Prior experience managing or supervising staff within an audit function.
Strong technical knowledge of internal audit principles, practices, and governance frameworks.
- Professional Qualifications: Candidates holding or working towards CCAB, CMIIA, CIA, QIAL, or equivalent certifications.
- Desirable: Previous experience working within UK local government or public sector environments.
