Description:
They are seeking a tax attorney or accountant with substantive international tax experience to review, write, and update expert tax content. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of analysis on the platform while collaborating with teams across marketing, customer experience, product, and operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce and review high-quality written content according to set specifications and agreed deadlines for timely publication. This includes generating original content and substantively editing work produced by external authors to maintain consistent quality across multi-authored products.
- Analyse complex tax developments for incorporation into Tax & Accounting products.
- Review and assess publications, market trends, and competitor developments to identify opportunities for enhancing existing products or creating new ones.
- Network with tax practitioners to build a team of external writers and commission specific products, chapters, or articles.
- Train analysts to assist with specific products and services.
- Respond to subscriber inquiries regarding the scope of available analysis and the use of the tax platform.
- Provide subject matter support to sales, marketing, and customer experience teams.
- Collaborate with teams in the U.S. office to refine product coverage and develop concepts for new products.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced abilities in tax research, analysis, and writing. A track record of contributing to external or firm publications in tax or another area of law is a plus.
- Excellent editing and organisational skills, including the ability to learn online publishing systems and related technical skills.
- Strong subject-matter knowledge of one or more topics, including VAT/GST and/or foreign tax systems.
- Thorough command of the English language and exceptional written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- A law degree or equivalent qualification is required.
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience in international tax practice or legal practice, with a particular emphasis on VAT/GST.
- Demonstrated record of professional tax or legal writing for internal or external publications.
