Senior Java Software Engineer

Description:

Our client in the Japanese financial group and investment bank space has an expanding technology centre in London is currently seeking an AVP, Senior Interface Developer (Java) to join their team. This role specification is for a Senior Java/Integration developer who would be working as a member of the Interfaces Team to develop, maintain and deliver changes to the platform.

The Interfaces team develop and support key integration platforms which underpin the system architecture. The Interface platforms are built in-house on a collection of Java frameworks and messaging systems.

This role is a full-time, regular employment and not C2C/contract and will be on hybrid set up (3x week in the office in London)

What they're looking for:

• Expert knowledge of core Java (collections, concurrency, NIO, etc.) at least 6+ years of experience
• Experience with Java frameworks Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate
• Deep understanding of and experience with design patterns and OO principles
• Solid experience of Apache Camel integration patterns and best practices.
• Experienced with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate)

Nice to have(s)

• Familiarity with Apache Karaf
• Experience with API Gateways
• Experience with Chronicle Queues and Maps
