Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), a globally recognized institution with a Gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-looking Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science to join its School of Life Sciences.

The role involves contributing to teaching and conducting world-class research in biomedical science, while also supporting related disciplines such as forensic science, crime and investigative science, and animal and environmental biology. Applicants should bring expertise in pharmacology, toxicology, and drug development for human disease, with flexibility to contribute across the school’s broad academic spectrum.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching in biomedical and life sciences, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards.

  • Engaging in impactful research aligned with the School’s research strategy, particularly in biomedical science and pharmacology.

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to the school’s vibrant research culture.

  • Supervising and mentoring students to ensure an excellent academic experience.

  • Supporting institutional initiatives on equality, diversity, inclusion, and flexible working.

Applicants must hold a PhD or professional doctorate in a related discipline, demonstrate strong research potential, and show a proven track record of effective teaching. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to innovation in higher education are essential.
