Plumstead Consulting is hiring a Senior Management Accountant on behalf of a fast-growing client organization in Slough, offering a dynamic and evolving role within a lean and high-performing finance team. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, playing a critical part in the end-to-end finance lifecycle, particularly in revenue recognition, deferred income, and financial operations across multiple entities. This role requires a proactive and commercially minded accountant who is not only technically sound but can also communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, bank accounts, and ledgers.
Monitor and manage accounts payable/receivable and corporate credit card usage.
Perform detailed cash flow forecasting and support the month-end/year-end closing processes.
Oversee revenue recognition including deferred income tracking and management of asset registers.
Ensure accurate VAT return preparation and assist with year-end audit responses.
Compile regulatory returns and adhere to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
Contribute to the financial operations across multiple company entities and continuously optimize accounting workflows.
Support ongoing enhancements to finance processes and internal controls.
Candidate Requirements:
Ideally fully or part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or currently pursuing a recognized accounting qualification.
Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of ownership over tasks.
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced level) is essential.
Able to interpret technical finance data and translate it into actionable insights.
Adaptive and efficient in a high-growth, evolving business environment.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit, agile team.
