The role involves crafting high-impact media strategies, building strong journalist relationships, managing reputational issues, and delivering coverage across national, broadcast, and business media. You will be the team’s go-to media expert, leading PR strategy, contributing to integrated campaigns, and ensuring alignment between media efforts and broader client goals. A passion for storytelling, a network of media contacts, and experience in the technology sector are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute media strategies for impactful national and international media coverage

• Build and maintain strong journalist, editor, and producer relationships

• Identify opportunities for client visibility and thought leadership

• Lead crisis communications as needed

• Act as media lead across key accounts, exceeding client expectations

• Guide and train junior team members

• Prepare clients for interviews with messaging and training

• Use data analytics to measure strategy impact and refine approaches

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven track record of securing top-tier media coverage

• Experience working with technology-focused clients

• Strong network of media contacts, especially within the UK tech media landscape

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities

• Experience in crisis communications is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
