Pipin, an innovative UK-based fintech startup, is on the lookout for a creative and strategic Senior Marketeer (aka Hype Master) to take ownership of all things marketing. This freelance, part-time role (about 1 day per week) is a unique opportunity to shape and grow the brand from its early stages, helping Pipin transition from product-building to public visibility.
At its core, Pipin is developing a personal finance management app that simplifies money management without overwhelming users. No boring spreadsheets, no fear-based graphs—just helpful nudges and practical guidance that people can actually relate to.
As the sole marketing lead, you will define and refine Pipin’s brand identity, voice, and digital presence, working closely with the founder and cross-functional team members. You will lead everything from brand storytelling to campaign strategy, content creation, and performance reporting. Your work will make Pipin memorable, accessible, and truly impactful for people seeking better control over their money.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Establish and enhance Pipin’s brand identity, messaging frameworks, and visual tone
Strategize, plan, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to grow user awareness and engagement
Lead content creation efforts—writing, editing, and producing materials that resonate with the target audience
Maintain brand consistency across all platforms (website, social, email, etc.)
Build a light, efficient process for tracking campaign performance and providing actionable insights
Collaborate closely with the founder to align marketing activities with business goals
Shift focus from tactical marketing tasks to long-term brand leadership and strategic direction over time
Contribute creative ideas that position Pipin as a thoughtful and relatable fintech brand
Operate with autonomy, energy, and curiosity, while managing time effectively within a freelance structure
Ideal Candidate Profile:
You have prior experience building or scaling early-stage brands
You can write clear, engaging, human-sounding content that cuts through the noise
You’re confident with digital tools but focused on outcomes, not vanity metrics
You enjoy switching between high-level brand strategy and low-level content execution
You’re resourceful, self-directed, and eager to contribute to something meaningful
You’re playful, energetic, and passionate about storytelling and user connection
You’ve previously worked in startups, fintech, wellness, or similar industries (bonus, not required)
Contract Details:
Compensation: £132/day (freelance), ~1 day per week
Contract Type: Freelance (Part-time), approx. 15-month duration
Equity: Early equity potential based on contribution
Location: Remote-first (must be based in the UK)
Schedule: Flexible hours – outcome-focused, not online-status focused
Tools: Candidate must use their own equipment (laptop, software, etc.)
Reporting: Directly to the Founder
