Description:

Pipin, an early-stage fintech startup developing a personal finance management app, is looking for a freelance Senior Marketeer (aka Hype Master) to lead brand and marketing initiatives. This remote, UK-based opportunity is perfect for a seasoned marketing professional with a strong creative instinct and hands-on experience in brand development, who is looking for a meaningful side project with long-term potential.

The role spans the full marketing stack—from refining brand identity and content creation to executing digital campaigns and performance tracking. It offers complete ownership from day one, reporting directly to the founder and working collaboratively across teams. It is designed as a part-time role (approx. 1 day per week) over a 15-month contract, with potential to evolve into a full-time senior leadership position as the startup grows and secures further funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine brand essence, including tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging frameworks.

• Strategize, plan, and lead marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and user engagement.

• Build a consistent presence across digital platforms, prioritizing quality and resonance over volume.

• Create engaging, human-centered content that connects with audiences and encourages sharing.

• Establish lightweight marketing processes and define key performance indicators to measure effectiveness.

• Participate in high-level brand conversations and long-term marketing direction.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven track record of brand building, preferably from early-stage or startup environments.

• Strong copywriting skills with a conversational and relatable tone.

• Experience executing cross-channel campaigns with a strategic eye for performance.

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative without waiting for directions.

• Capable of both big-picture strategic thinking and detailed execution (from brand positioning to writing captions).

• Driven by curiosity, playfulness, and a strong desire to build something meaningful.

Bonus: Background in startups, fintech, wellness, or consumer apps is beneficial but not essential. Pipin values creativity and strategic thinking over traditional resumes.
