Senior Named Account Executive

 

Description:

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Senior Named Account Executive to drive enterprise-level sales and strategic engagement across large South African accounts from its Greater London or Dubai offices. The role focuses on developing strong customer relationships with multinational corporations and large-scale enterprise organizations that require Cloudflare’s cybersecurity and performance-driven solutions.

The selected candidate will take full ownership of the enterprise sales cycle from lead generation to closure. The position requires a strategic "hunter" mindset to engage high-potential accounts and foster meaningful, long-term relationships with decision-makers in sectors like public services, manufacturing, energy, BFSI, and other enterprise verticals. You will be instrumental in building Cloudflare’s presence across Sub-Saharan Africa through proactive engagement, precise account planning, and execution of tailored sales strategies.

This is a senior-level role requiring deep domain knowledge in advanced cloud technologies such as Zero Trust (ZT), SASE, DDoS mitigation, secure access solutions, and content delivery. The ideal candidate will be highly self-driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven record of navigating and winning complex enterprise sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead direct sales into large enterprise and multinational companies in South Africa

  • Develop comprehensive account strategies to build a high-value pipeline and drive revenue

  • Manage full sales lifecycle: opportunity discovery, qualification, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, channel partners, and alliances to develop and execute sales campaigns

  • Deliver accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM and business tools

  • Drive competitive displacement and articulate the unique value proposition of Cloudflare solutions

  • Cultivate strategic, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts


Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English

  • Proven enterprise sales experience in South Africa

  • Background in cybersecurity and cloud-based technologies (e.g., ZTNA, SASE, WAF, CASB)

  • Strong technical aptitude or background in computer engineering/computer science

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with sales analytics and reporting tools

  • Self-motivated, adaptable to a fast-paced environment
