Senior Network Engineer

Description:

LSA Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic team in Hayes, working on a contract basis. This is a full-time, on-site role designed for an experienced professional with a solid background in managing complex network infrastructures, implementing robust security protocols, and optimizing connectivity across distributed systems.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the enterprise networking environment, ensuring seamless performance, proactive maintenance, and swift incident resolution. You will be instrumental in supporting and improving network architecture while working closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain complex LAN/WAN infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

• Manage and optimize firewall configurations, VPNs, routing, and switching protocols.

• Conduct regular network assessments, performance monitoring, and security audits.

• Document network architecture, configurations, and changes effectively.

• Collaborate with other IT teams on cloud integration, security implementations, and system upgrades.

• Evaluate emerging network technologies and make recommendations to enhance infrastructure efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in network engineering and architecture.

• Proficiency in Cisco or Juniper technologies (certifications such as CCNP/CCIE highly desirable).

• Solid knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.).

• Experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), VPN technologies, and load balancers.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in high-pressure environments.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver within tight deadlines.

• Previous experience in a contract or consultancy environment is a plus.
