Outside The Box Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Pattern Cutter to join a growing Haute Couture atelier in West London. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to an environment that blends creativity, technical mastery, and the artistry of bespoke design.

As a Senior Pattern Cutter, you will work closely with the Lead Pattern Cutter and Designer, playing a key role in crafting couture pieces that exemplify precision, innovation, and luxury craftsmanship. The role requires a deep understanding of couture construction techniques, pattern interpretation, draping, and corsetry.

You will translate creative visions into perfectly executed patterns, ensuring each piece aligns with the highest couture standards. The position demands exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to take ownership of projects within tight timelines while maintaining exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Lead Pattern Cutter and Designer to produce accurate, creative patterns for bespoke couture garments.

• Interpret design notes, illustrations, and measurements into precise manual patterns.

• Pad stands to client measurements and create draped patterns directly on the stand.

• Design and construct corsets tailored to individual clients, ensuring fit and comfort.

• Work closely with the Couture Collection Development Director to meet project timelines.

• Maintain meticulous documentation, ensuring smooth project handovers.

• Provide input and technical expertise during garment fittings.

• Manage workload efficiently and adhere to high-quality standards under tight deadlines.

• Collaborate with team members, contributing to a supportive and professional studio environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least 7 years of professional experience as a Creative or Haute Couture Pattern Cutter.

• Advanced knowledge of couture construction techniques, draping, and finishing methods.

• Expert understanding of pattern drafting for corsetry and body manipulation.

• Proven ability to translate creative design visions into accurate, functional patterns.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Passionate, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about couture craftsmanship.

• Strong team spirit with the ability to also work independently.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced atelier environment and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

• Positive, flexible, and calm under pressure.

Working Hours and Environment:

• 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with a 30-minute lunch break.

• Additional hours may be required, compensated at the agreed contract rate.

• Work will take place in a shared couture studio environment.

• Free on-site parking available (subject to availability).
