Description:
The role involves comprehensive ownership of property-level accounting and collaboration across various disciplines. It offers exposure to accounting practices, regulations, and corporate governance in different jurisdictions, specifically Australia and Poland. This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional with financial accounting experience in the property sector, who will contribute to the portfolio's strategy and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and manage quarterly property and corporate financial reports, ensuring compliance and addressing any errors with agents.
- Maintain schedules for monthly and quarterly reviews to adhere to accounting standards and monitor portfolio cash needs through regular funding assessments.
- Oversee reconciliations, including bank statements, project costs, and rental agreements, to ensure alignment with relevant reports.
- Collaborate with asset managers to review annual budgets and business plans, preparing corporate components as necessary.
- Draft quarterly board papers and coordinate the preparation of the board book with the finance manager while ensuring compliance with internal controls for audits.
- Manage the year-end audit process, working with external auditors to address queries and meet required timelines, while also overseeing corporate administration and legal filings.
- Support the finance team with financial reviews, tax advice, and general project-related duties, fostering relationships with agents and external advisors.
Requirement:
- Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and inquiry skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and modelling; Word skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel overseas as required
- Previous experience with non-UK based organizations is an advantage
