Senior Product Design Engineer

Description:

SharkNinja is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to join the UK NPD team, contributing to the development of innovative products for the Ninja brand. The role is based in London (Battersea) with hybrid working and requires collaboration across multi-functional teams in the U.S., U.K., and China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical problem-solving in product development, independently and within teams.

• Mentor junior team members, with potential line-management responsibilities.

• Establish user, design, and functional requirements; deliver robust solutions and validate through testing.

• Own designs through conception, CAD execution, prototyping, and verification.

• Evaluate and improve designs for cost efficiency, manufacturing improvements, and consumer value.

• Apply engineering/product design standards and knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and collaborate across global product development teams.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• 5+ years of Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering experience.

• Mechanical Design & Analysis: high-voltage systems, material selection, heat dissipation, vibration control, structural integrity.

• Electromechanical systems understanding, including interaction of mechanical and electrical components.

• CAD proficiency: SolidWorks preferred, Creo acceptable.

• Manufacturing & Materials expertise, particularly injection molding and high-voltage materials (PPS/PAGF).

• High-Voltage Insulation & Safety knowledge (dielectric, hi-pot, arcing, etc.).

• Risk assessment & failure mode analysis: FMEA, DFMEA, HAZOP.

• Prototype development, testing, and environmental/endurance testing.

• Drawing & engineering specification skills, including BOM management; GD&T knowledge is a bonus.
