Description:
Enfield Legal Services is seeking a Senior Prosecutions Lawyer to join its in-house legal team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality legal advice while contributing to the borough’s sustainability and quality of life. The successful candidate will handle a heavy caseload with minimum supervision, specialising in regulatory prosecutions, Housing Act 2004, and Environmental Protection Act 1990 matters. This role is open to Solicitors, Barristers, or Fellows of CILEX.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out prosecutions under relevant legislation with accuracy and professionalism
Draft and negotiate legal documents
Manage a significant caseload independently
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior legal staff
Collaborate with other teams within the department when required
Participate in flexible hybrid working (minimum 2 days office attendance per week, up to 5 days during probation)
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in relevant prosecution areas
Advocacy experience for litigators
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal knowledge
Local authority experience desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
