Social Care Locums is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Public Protection Officer to lead critical compliance, enforcement, and project initiatives within the Public Protection Service. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused specialist enforcement service under a robust performance management framework.

As a Senior Public Protection Officer, you will act as the technical expert and lead on specific key areas within the Public Protection Service, as assigned by your Line Manager. Your responsibilities will include guiding and supporting the management team to ensure that all service operations are efficient, effective, compliant with relevant legislation, and delivered in a collaborative manner.

You will play a key role in driving continual service improvement by managing complex projects and ensuring that regulatory standards related to food safety and health and safety are consistently met. Your leadership will contribute to safeguarding public health through rigorous enforcement of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading compliance and enforcement activities to ensure public protection standards are upheld.

• Managing projects that enhance the service delivery and operational effectiveness.

• Acting as the technical lead on specialized areas within the public protection remit.

• Supporting the Public Protection Management Team by providing expert advice and strategic input.

• Ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and procedures in the delivery of public protection services.

• Promoting a customer-focused approach and maintaining high standards of professional conduct.

• Contributing to performance management and reporting to demonstrate service impact and outcomes.
