Senior Python Developer

Description:

Join Roche’s product team as a Senior Python Developer and contribute to the development of a highly automated and self-service platform that delivers hardened operating system images across major public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. These images are integral in securing enterprise and digital product workloads on a global scale.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions in Python. You will also provide technical leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence across teams. As a key contributor, you will own and define requirements for platform components, ensuring they align with developer needs, and work on building dynamic GitLab CI/CD pipelines using Python.

Key responsibilities also include implementing serverless architecture patterns, using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible, and automating infrastructure provisioning and testing.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in Python development

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (experience with more than one preferred)

• Proven experience in designing serverless, event-driven architectures

• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana

• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, etc.)
